Founded in January of 1997, Spring Ridge has been dedicated to integrating new, evidence-based protocols in all areas: therapy, family systems, education, positive peer culture, and our workshop series. Our focus on young women’s needs enables our clients to address their issues without the distraction of the opposite sex. Being an owner-operated program also allows the freedom to make change occur in alignment with the on-going needs of the clients and their families.
At Spring Ridge Academy we have a focused admissions criteria. The young women that SRA helps are bright, talented and highly creative individuals who are struggling to manage their lives. Often these are young women involved in a variety of risky and/or addictive behaviors that are sabotaging their relationships and affecting their academic careers. The SRA student is very capable and talented but has lacked the self-esteem and self-discipline needed to be successful. Spring Ridge Academy is a therapeutic boarding school targeting adolescent girls, ages 13 – 17 in grades 9 – 12.
While our clients present with a variety of diagnoses we find that often the issues that need to be addressed fall into one of eight categories.
· GRIEF & LOSS
· DEPRESSION / ANXIETY
· FOCUS / MOTIVATION ISSUES
· ATTACHMENT / ADOPTION ISSUES
· BODY IMAGE / EATING DISORDERS
· EXPERIMENTATION WITH DRUGS & ALCOHOL
· SOCIAL DIFFICULTIES /NEGATIVE PEER GROUPS
· SELF HARM
