Montana Academy Seeking Licensed Clinician
Montana Academy, a fully accredited therapeutic boarding school, seeks a full-time therapist for a team of 10 students providing individual, group and family therapy as well as providing supervision, support and collaboration to a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
Montana Academy offers a rich milieu for both students and staff on a 500 acre campus located in the Flathead Valley. Our 70 students come to us from around the United States and abroad. All students spend time on our campus and then often move to the Sky House, our young adult transitional living program located in downtown Kalispell prior to venturing off to gap year or college/university.
Students attending Montana Academy are typically very bright and present with a variety of diagnoses that are best resolved by addressing each student’s immaturity as well as the developmental and familial obstacles that have led to their present symptoms.
Montana Academy employs up to 85 staff including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, mental health counselors, pre-doctoral interns, teachers, medical staff, administrative staff and clinically-minded direct care staff.
We are seeking experienced individuals who are team oriented, have an attention to detail and a commitment to follow through. The position works primarily on our campus but also has the opportunity to facilitate and participate in more experiential challenge and family trips throughout year often venturing out into the surrounding out-of-doors.
Provides therapeutic services to adolescents and their families, including individual, group and family psychotherapy
Provides regular updates to referral sources on a timely basis
Completes progress notes and other associated documentation as needed
Participates in the design and recommendation of appropriate treatment plans, often collaborating with other staff including direct care and academic faculty
Qualifications & Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of a Master’s Degree and be licensed along with the ability to obtain licensure in the State of Montana
Previous experience working with adolescents and their families on a variety of emotional, behavioral issues as well as substance and technology use/abuse
Desire to collaborate with a team and integrate into a large school community
Live and work in beautiful Northwest Montana
